Taylor McKechnie

Taylor holds a Diploma in Registered Massage Therapy from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, BC and a Bachelor of Health Science Degree from Thompson Rivers University. She has been actively practicing massage therapy in her hometown of Squamish BC since 2009 and has been at the helm of Sea to Sky Massage since 2014.

Taylor views massage therapy as an integral part of a patient’s overall emotional and physical health. She is deeply intrigued with the mind-body-spirit connection and respects each patient’s intuition and personal experiences when helping them address what brings them to the table. Taylor believes in not only providing relief from symptoms but also determining the root of the issue to render long-term resolutions, drawing on many different tools to offer solutions specific to each patient.

She has a special interest in the treatment of headaches, chronic pain and TMJD. Regardless of the reason for your visit, she is invested in playing an active role in your wellness journey, incorporating modalities such as deep tissue massage, trigger point release, craniosacral therapy, muscle energy techniques and myofascial release in a supportive, safe healing space.

Taylor has a thirst for personal growth and knowledge that inspires her to always show up for her patients with their best interests at heart. Along her journey, she has completed all 4 levels of Craniosacral training with Kari Toft of Visionary Craniosacral, and continues to expand on this modality in her practice.

Taylor loves spending time with her kids and exploring the world and her own backyard on foot, bike or in and on the water. She thrives on connection with the community, digging in the dirt, dancing like nobody’s watching, reading, and practicing yoga.

Taryn Matson

Taryn, an avid equestrian, was inspired by the powers of massage at a young age. After watching the effects massage therapy had on her horse, specifically the difference in his movement and athletic ability, she was inspired to learn more.

She completed her diploma in Ontario in 2004 followed by her B.C certification under the 3000-hour program from West Coast Massage Therapy in 2005. Taryn thrives on working with a wide variety of clients and focuses on providing specific treatments tailored to each individual’s needs. From tackling muscle imbalances caused by postural issues to addressing chronic pain or acute injury management, there isn’t much Taryn hasn’t seen in her 18-year career. She has taken post-graduate studies in myofascial release, deep tissue massage, joint mobilizations and Kinesio taping. Passionate about her patients’ health, both physically and mentally, she welcomes the opportunity to work with new and existing clients.

Outside of work you can find Taryn on the trails with her pup Bernie, exploring the town with her son, hanging with friends and family and creating new recipes in her kitchen.

Registered Massage Therapist

Elizabeth (Liz) Nerland

Elizabeth (Liz) is a life long student of the healing arts and is driven by a desire to alleviate suffering. She is equally intrigued by both the science and art of healing, blending her scientific and intuitive knowing to meet the needs of each unique client.

Liz holds a bachelor degree in both nursing and kinesiology. She left her role as a pediatric registered nurse in 2009 to explore more “upstream” medicine – looking for ways to help prevent dis-ease rather than respond to it. This led her to reiki, relaxation massage and yoga. She has been working as a bodyworker, reiki master/teacher and yoga teacher for over ten years while also raising three children.

Outside of work and family life, Liz loves to garden, read, hike, swim and sauna.

Kayla Young

Kayla Young is a wellness practitioner with a passion for uncovering the patterns we consciously and unconsciously hold in our bodies. Having earned her diploma in massage therapy in July 2024, Kayla weaves together her education from Okanagan Valley College of Massage with her 5+years experiences as a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher to bring a deeply embodied understanding of both anatomy and movement to her practice.

Kayla incorporates techniques such as myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, facilitated stretching, and Swedish massage to support client’s in listening for the body’s natural messages, allowing for realignment, and better communication between mind and body.

In her treatment space, Kayla’s goal is for every client to feel empowered, optimistic about their health, and deeply connected to their bodies. She prioritizes a client-centered approach, collaborating with clients to ensure that their treatment plan aligns with their unique needs and goals. She believes that true healing comes from understanding that we are not separate from what ails us; the body is always communicating, and it takes time to notice, give attention, and make meaningful changes — whether for acute injuries, chronic conditions, and all that lies in-between.

Kayla’s holistic approach means that every client is treated as a whole, integrated being. She helps guide them toward their optimal function and health through both treatment and education, with the aim of supporting long-term well-being and resilience.

Outside of the clinic, you can find Kayla enjoying local trails and swim spots, baking something delicious, or brewing up a homemade latte. When she’s not reading a good book, you might catch her at a yoga or Pilates class, staying connected to the same mindful movement practices she brings into her work.
